It is with great pleasure that we welcome iconic New Zealand company Cactus Equipment to the Trail Fund NZ team. Cactus Equipment are well known for their hard wearing clothing and gear that lasts the distance, something that every hard working trail builder can appreciate.
The first thing we’re going to do together is put on another of our “Trail Hero” monthly draws in which we find some deserving volunteer trail builder and recognize them for their often behind-the-scenes efforts.

The prize this month will be one of Cactus Equipment’s legendary BBB’s (Big Burly Bags) and the winner will also get added to the special “Pro User” discount program usually restricted to professional outdoors people. They love trails and volunteers so much they will make one exception each month to our lucky winner. It will be the prize that keeps on giving.
Entries are open now, if you sent in a nomination for last month’s draw please resend it as we will start fresh this month. The person just needs to be someone you feel goes above and beyond in their own personal (non paid) time for your local trails. So even if they work professionally in the industry building or managing trails, perhaps they’re also back there working in their own time as a volunteer. Just send a quick description / reason why they are deserving of recognition to trailfund@gmail.com. Entries will close at the end of next week, that’s May 10th but don’t leave it to the last minute!
